Solo 1 · Solo 2 · Solo 5

Three driving
options.

ZenTrux runs Solo 1, Solo 2 and Solo 5 rotations. Solo 2 — 4 days on, 4 days off — is the only option hiring right now. Solo 1 and Solo 5 are coming soon.

Driving Options

Three ways to drive with ZenTrux.

Solo 2 means you drive solo — no co-driver in the cab. You and a truck partner take turns running the same truck on opposite rotations, so it's always on the road. Solo 1 and Solo 5 offer different rotations for different lifestyles.

Solo 2

Now Hiring

4 days on, 4 days off. You and a truck partner run opposite rotations on the same truck.

Solo 1

Coming Soon

Home every night. 6 days on, 1 day off, running a fixed daily shift block.

Solo 5

Coming Soon

5 days on duty, 2 days off. A longer-haul rotation for drivers who want bigger blocks of time home.

Overview

What Solo 2 means.

One role, one rotation, one clear set of expectations.

Middle-mile freight

Scheduled drop-and-hook runs between network facilities — consistent lanes, consistent expectations.

4 on / 4 off rotation

Four consecutive days driving, four consecutive days off, from day one. You always know when you're home.

W-2 employment

You're a ZenTrux employee with benefits and professional support behind you.

Solo 2 — Now Hiring

4 on. 4 off. Repeat.

4 days on, 4 days off — relay with a truck partner.

You drive solo — no co-driver in the cab. While you complete the active four-day rotation, your truck partner is on scheduled time off. You then switch, so the truck stays in operation while each driver follows a predictable four-on, four-off schedule.

You and your truck partner run opposite days, so the truck stays on the road all week.

Your truck partner runs the opposite days, so the truck stays moving every day of the week.

4 days to drive.
4 days to live.

A predictable rotation gives you something every professional driver deserves — the ability to plan life outside the truck.

Solo 2 May Be a Good Fit For Drivers Who:

  • Want a predictable four-on, four-off rotation
  • Prefer several consecutive workdays followed by several full days off
  • Value the ability to plan personal and family time
  • Are comfortable sharing a truck with a truck partner on opposite rotations
  • Prefer a consistent rotation instead of a traditional Monday-through-Friday schedule
  • Are comfortable being away during the active driving block, based on confirmed route requirements

Solo 1

Coming Soon

Solo 1 — home every night.

Home every night.

Solo 1 is designed around a single driving block completed within one operating day. Drivers complete their assigned route, including required inspections and breaks, and return home after the block rather than remaining on a multi-day tour.

≈14-hour block

Each block is approximately 14 hours from start to finish.

Up to 11 hours driving

The remaining time is a buffer for pre-trip and post-trip inspections, required breaks and other non-driving duties.

Up to 6 blocks weekly

The operation may run up to six blocks per tractor each week, with staggered start times across trucks.

Each tractor runs 6 shift blocks a week, so the fleet stays moving while individual drivers rotate through their day off.

Solo 1 May Be a Good Fit For Drivers Who:

  • Prefer returning home after completing a single-day block
  • Are comfortable with longer individual driving days
  • Can work different start-time windows
  • Like completing a full route within one operating period
  • Prefer daily home time over a multi-day tour
  • Can reliably manage inspections, breaks and time-sensitive route expectations

Solo 5

Coming Soon

Solo 5 — 5 on, 2 off.

Staggered starts keep trucks running every day.

Solo 5 is a multi-day driving tour completed over approximately five days. The tour includes required rest periods throughout the block, followed by two scheduled days off before the next tour begins.

≈110-hour block

Each Solo 5 block is approximately 110 hours across five days.

≈70 on-duty hours

Approximately 70 hours of on-duty time within the tour.

≈57.5 drive hours

Approximately 57.5 hours of drive time within the tour.

4 rest breaks

The tour includes four mandatory 10-hour rest breaks.

Each on-duty block runs 5 continuous days (110 hours), followed by 2 days off, then the next block begins.

110 hours on duty over the 5-day tour, including mandatory rest breaks taken on the road — not time at home.

Solo 5 May Be a Good Fit For Drivers Who:

  • Are comfortable completing a five-day multi-day tour
  • Prefer working a longer continuous block followed by scheduled days off
  • Can manage required rest periods while away from home
  • Prefer fewer transitions between starting and ending work blocks
  • Are comfortable with staggered start times
  • Want a structured schedule with two days off after the five-day tour
